Crime continues to fall in Portugal

Figures out. This week show that violent crime dropped by ten percent during the first six months of the year.

Portugal has also become increasingly safer in recent years, and in the past decade alone, violent crime has fallen by 37 percent
Law enforcement officials say these reductions are largely due to an increase in the number of officers patrolling city streets and areas popular with tourists.
This comes after Portugal was earlier this year once again found to be one of the safest countries in the world.
