Summer is knocking at the door and unless you want to spend all your savings, it’s best to start planning your vacation now.

We want you to make the most of the sun, find the best scenery and relax with a refreshing dip in the sea when you feel like it. To help you choose where to go on holiday this year, we’ve compiled a list of five of Portugal’s best Blue Flag beaches that we believe will be perfect for you.

Odeceixe beach, Aljezur

There’s no better holiday plan than traveling along the coast of Alentejo and Vicentina, with a stop at Odeceixe, Aljezur being mandatory.

This little seaside town, coveted by many in the summertime, offers the best of the Alentejo – good food and tranquil beaches. The beach at Odeceixe has a clear and calm sea, fine sand and a beautiful view thanks to the cliffs that surround it.

When visiting, don’t forget that the inland part of this region is also dazzling. Try venturing deep into Alentejo, off the tourist track, and experience the authenticity of the Alentejo people for a truly unforgettable Portuguese holiday.

The island of Porto Santo truly is paradise on earth. If you’ve never been there before, make the trip this summer and celebrate in style the 600 years since its discovery.

On this secluded island in the Atlantic, we recommend the Fontinha beach since it’s the closest to the main town center.

The sandy bay stretches for over five miles, with the naturally carbonated, golden sand having therapeutic effects and the seductive, clear, turquoise water perfect for swimming and bathing.

Caminha beach, Caminha

When it comes to the world’s best beaches, northern Portugal is usually ignored, but that’s only by people who don’t know the wonderful Caminha in the Minho.

In Caminha, just a short distance from Spain, the white, sandy beach delights thousands of visitors every year thanks to the variety of pleasures on offer. There are a thousand different ways to discover this beach, from visiting on foot to enjoying the breeze in your hair while riding a bicycle along the new eco-way on the seafront.

To top it all off, if you like green areas you have to explore the quiet Mata do Camarido for a stroll through the woods, just next door to the beach.

Comporta beach, Comporta

Nestled between the Tagus and Sines rivers, there are several fantastic beaches, the most popular of which is the beach at Comporta and it’s not hard to see why.

The fine sandy shore extends ends up to a system of sand dunes of great scenic and environmental interest. It’s a spectacular beach that acts as a suntrap, so there’s nothing to stop you getting your dose of sunshine this year.

Not far from Comporta is the beach of Galapinhos, where you can enjoy the tranquillity of what was considered the best beach in Europe last year.

Camilo beach, Lagos

In the Algarve region, in the city of Lagos, is one of the most beautiful beaches in the south of the country, Praia do Camilo.

It’s quite a small beach, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in the magnificent panoramic views it provides.

Pedestrian access to the beach is via a staircase with more than 200 steps, but before you even take the first step towards the ocean, take time to appreciate the landscape. Don’t worry if you forget to do this, though, because while you make your trip down to the shore there are several rest areas with incredible views of the blue horizon.

Tudo correu lindamente. Consegui esclarecer todas as minhas questões.

Investidor da Turquia

Ryan was an excellent real estate agent, he really steered me in the right direction based on what I said was important to me. Living in another country, I wasn't as familiar with the city as he is. Where I thought I wanted to live and what I truly wanted were not the same. He took the time to listen and figure out the best spot for me, and we are very happy with it - far more than we would have been elsewhere.
