Renovated top floor city apartment

São Bento is a charming neighbourhood nestled in the heart of Lisbon. Home to a thriving arts and culture scene, it is filled with art galleries, trendy cafes, and independent bookstores. The neighbourhood is also home to the famous Círculo de Bellas Artes cultural centre, which is a must-visit for art lovers. The streets of São Bento are lined with beautiful buildings, both old and new. The area is known for its unique architecture, such as the colourful tiles that adorn many of the buildings. The apartment is within walking distance to major attractions such as Bairro Alto and Chiado, and is adjacent to Lapa. Despite its central location, São Bento manages to maintain a tranquil and authentic atmosphere. It's a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and relax, yet close enough to be amongst the bright lights within a short walk. The apartment is on a wonderfully typical cobblestone narrow street, with a bakery next door and a gallery across the street. The full renovation was completed very recently and is a credit to the owner's eye for design. The kitchen / dining area has been opened up to create a space for much more than simply cooking and eating. Full of light and equipped with brand name appliances, the kitchen island provides a focal point. This room also opens to the compact lounge with window offering stunning views of the myriad of rooftops and Tagus in the distance. Also facing South and enjoying the vista is the modest guest bedroom accommodating enough for a double bed or also utilised as a pleasantly lit office space ideal for working from home. On the other side of the property is the much larger, main bedroom with unobstructed view. An alcove houses wardrobes that could easily be converted to a fitted wardrobe. The bathroom is modern, of a high standard and is lit with a skylight. The windows are double glazed and the Air Conditioning is reversible for those very few cold nights. There is also direct access by ladder to the attic, recently insulated, and serving as a useful extra space for storage. The World famous Tram 28 has a stop at the end of the street and the ‘Miradouro de Santa Catarina’ viewpoint is a 5 minute walk. Due to the highly desirable location this extremely well modernised apartment would generate a handsome yield on the thriving Lisboan rental market and is ideal for young professionals or starter family home.
